Richard Corey is the Executive Officer of the California Air Resources Board. He has over 30 years of professional experience in the air quality and climate change field. Mr. Corey’s team of approximately 1,700 engineers, scientists, technicians, analysts, are responsible for a broad range of programs including those concerning cleaner emission standards for motor vehicles and equipment, fuels, climate, incentives, and air toxics. Some of the key programs that his team is responsible for implementing include the zero- and near-zero-emission standards for mobile and off-road sources (e.g., cars, trucks, fork lifts, cargo handling equipment, motor cycles, and lawnmowers), low carbon fuel standard, cap-and-trade regulation, and focused efforts to drive down emissions and exposure in impacted communities throughout California. Mr. Corey has also served as the senior California delegate to the GCF Task Force for nearly a decade. He has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Toxicology as well as an MBA from the University of California, Davis.
