The GCF Task Force has developed a gender policy initiative, entitled “Women for Forests and Climate,” which will be considered for approval at the Yucatan Annual Meeting in Merida, Mexico on February 7 and 8, 2023. The gender policy arose through past gender equity workshops, discussions by the many women leaders within the GCF Task Force, and most recently through discussions at COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. The Gender Policy will be announced and shared for interested parties to sign in support during the public session of the Yucatan Annual Meeting on February 8, 2023.
