Manuel Gambini Rupay is Governor of Ucayali. He was born on December 8, 1971, son of Martin Isaac Gambini Brandan and Juana Eliza Rupay Utrilla. He was Mayor of the District of Irazola during the years 2007 and mid 2014. In April 2014, he announced his candidacy for the regional presidency of the Department of Ucayali in the regional and municipal elections of the same year. Since January 2015, he has assumed the position as President (now Governor) by democratic election. He previously served as Governor of Ucayali from 2015-2018.
