Gabriel Penteado joined the GCF Task Force as a Program Associate in September 2023. Gabriel is a practitioner contributing to sustainable inclusive development. He worked most recently as a consultant to the World Bank Group to facilitate a South-South Knowledge Exchange among representatives from Indonesia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Brazil – his home country. The exchange fostered collaboration among officials to address deforestation and forest fires by sharing good practices and experiences in a variety of areas, including jurisdictional programs to reduce deforestation. He previously served as a Business and Investment Specialist at The Nature Conservancy, where he developed innovative solutions for sustainable supply chains and created accessible public communications materials. Gabriel holds a Master’s Degree in Development Practice from the University of California, Berkeley and a B.A. in Public Administration with International Relations from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, in São Paulo. He speaks Portuguese (native), Spanish and English.
