Sustainable Commodities, Agriculture, & Regenerative Livestock: Perspectives & Practice

Times: 09:00 to 10:30 and 11:30 to 13:00

  1. General Objective. Co-create investment mechanisms for the economic transition to a model that prioritizes the forest-based vocation of tropical forest regions and aims for low-emission development, exploring partnership opportunities that can be consolidated or developed over the next six months and highlighted at COP30.
  2. Specific Objectives. The dialogue to be held around the theme of the Technical Session should enable the following: a) Identify the main considerations and guidelines to be adopted, including possible overlaps and connections with other topics; b) Share best practices; c) Identify key stakeholders who should be involved; d) Identify gaps that need to be addressed, and, if possible, propose an action timeline; and e) Explore new partnerships and/or fundable projects that can be launched or developed in the coming months.
  3. Procedures. The dialogue will begin with inspiring presentations by experts and larger GCFTF commodities producers, after which representatives of GCFTF subnational states and key partners will share their experiences and perspectives. In a third stage, a debate is expected to take place to explore issues that address the specific objectives of the Session.
