We are thrilled to announce that the next Technical Exchange of the GCF Task Force will be held in Santa Cruz, Bolivia – together with co-organizers Pando and Tarija – from April 23-26, 2024. 

In a significant stride toward advancing global climate action, the Governors’ Climate and Forests Task Force (GCFTF) is delighted to unveil the location for its much-anticipated Technical Exchange Meeting in 2024: Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Hosted by the Government of Santa Cruz, alongside co-organizers Pando and Tarija, this pivotal gathering is poised to be a cornerstone in collective efforts toward forest conservation, climate resilience, and sustainable development. Bolivian provinces, the latest additions to the GCF network, will utilize this opportunity to introduce their impactful work and region to the broader GCF community.

Why Santa Cruz?

Santa Cruz, renowned for its rich biodiversity and steadfast commitment to environmental stewardship, provides an ideal backdrop for this forward-looking meeting. The local government’s dedication to hosting this event underscores the region’s leadership in championing sustainable practices. With Pando and Tarija as co-organizers, the meeting promises diverse perspectives, ensuring a holistic approach to the challenges and opportunities at hand.

The GCFTF is thrilled to announce Santa Cruz as the host city for the Technical Exchange Meeting in 2024.
