GCF Task Force at COP 28 in Dubai

The COP, or Conference of the Parties, is a crucial international forum where countries, subnational governments, and civil society convene to address climate change under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. COP meetings serve as platforms for global collaboration, negotiations, and the development of strategies to combat climate change and its impacts. We look forward to creating and reinforcing partnerships, convening governors, mobilizing finance, and amplifying the voices of Indigenous Peoples and local communities and our outstanding women leaders in this important event.

Representatives of the GCF Task Force member jurisdictions will be featured in several events throughout the Conference in Dubai. In addition, our Global Secretariat is organizing several key events that you cannot miss!

Check out our press release for our first announcement on December 5, where Governors Brazil, Ecuador, and Mexico, along with Indigenous leaders and partners, issued a call for $1 billion to finance the new forest economy!
