Raysa Queiroz Maciel serves as Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources of Maranhão. A native of São Luís, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy from the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA), a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Ceuma University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Tax Law from Getúlio Vargas College (FGV). As a lawyer, she held the position of Project Coordinator and Executive Secretary at the State Secretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture (SEPAQ) from 2012 to 2015 and Special Advisor at the Vice-Governor’s Office from 2019 to 2022.
She is the current Vice President of the Forum of Environment Secretaries of the Legal Amazon for the term February 2023 to January 2024.
