Loreto Forms Indigenous COVID-19 Command

On June 8th, the First Indigenous COVID-19 Command formed to address the urgent needs of COVID-19 patients in primary health care and amongst indigenous communities in Loreto. The Command includes representatives from the Peruvian Ministries of Health and Culture, the Regional Government of Loreto, the Peruvian Federation of Indigenous Peoples, and communities including Achuar, Ashaninka, Awajún, Kandozi, Machiguenga, Shipibo, Urarina, Wampis, and Yanesha, among others. The Command is the first of its kind to be established at the national level.

Indonesia Releases REDD+ RBP Guide Following The Announcement of $56 Million from Norway

To assist provinces in developing a common understanding of opportunities and requirements for REDD+ Results-Based Payments in Indonesia, the GCF Task Force has developed an informative guide for provincial leaders and their partners. The document contains a short overview of progress in Indonesia and processes that have been established to date, and discusses key structures and mechanisms that provinces must establish to access results-based payments from the BPDLH.
